Welcome to Full Ballots RI

Ballots for 2022...
Big Improvement for Opponent Numbers!

77% of Senators had Opponents on the ballot
65% of Reps had Opponents on the ballot

Thanks to those candidates who Stepped Up to the Plate!
The number of Free Rides to State Office have been reduced!
  Here's the PROBLEM...

21 out of 39 Senate seats did NOT have a challenger on the ballot!
42 out of 75 House seats did NOT have a challenger on the ballot!
In the 2022 Elections... NONE of Rhode Island's 39 Cities and Towns had a Full Slate of candidates! - - - Throughout Rhode Island 159 of 225 seats on Local Ballots were not challenged.

Now that you know the problem
Here's how we solve it...

We need 100% of office holders in our government to be elected the way it was intended!
All candidates must have a challenger to make representative government work properly.

Yes you can run for office to help eliminate the Free Ride candidates get when there is no challenger.  Don't worry about running to "win",  just by being on the ballot as an opposition candidate you will be a winner because you've done something honorable and important for democracy.

You don't need anything more than to be a registered voter in order to Declare as a Candidate and then get a few friends and neighbors to sign your nomination papers and that's it. You have nearly three weeks after signing up to get just 50 signatures for most local offices and just 100 for a State office.

If you are a registered member of a State political party, then you can get the help you need from your local Party Committee (See links below).

Unaffiliated
(independent) citizens who want to Declare can do it with confidence that many have done it before, including me.  In 2018 of all candidates for State office who had opponents... over 40% were challenged by independents.  Unfortunately that also reveals how badly things would be without the efforts of individual concerned citizens who make it their duty to run. Without those of us who ran as independent candidates that year,  a whopping 62% of our State's governing would have been done by those who ran unopposed! In 2020 it would have been 71% elected without opponents!

Here at FullBallotsRI.com you will find information to help you with the process of Declaring as a Candidate and all those little things you need to do afterwards that look to be a lot bigger than they really are.

Feel free to contact me with questions or to arrange a meeting with your group and help convince  honorable Rhode Islanders you know, to step forward.  You can also help as a volunteer recruiter and ballot monitor for your local candidate count leading up to the Declaration Deadline.
